If you wish to apply for your child mid-year, you must complete an in-year application via the eAdmissions website.

While Year 3 is typically oversubscribed, places may become available throughout the school year. Parents are encouraged to submit an in-year application so their child can be placed on the waiting list.

Waiting List:

  • The school maintains a waiting list for children who were unsuccessful in gaining a place.
  • Parents may keep their child’s name on the list as long as they wish.
  • The waiting list is ordered according to the admissions criteria, not by the date of application. A child's position may change as new applicants are added.

Parents who wish to appeal an admissions decision must follow the TCSET Admissions Appeal Process. Appeals for Year 3 admissions in September 2025 should be submitted by Tuesday 20th May 2025.

Dulwich Village C of E Infant’s School to Dulwich Hamlet Junior School Transition

We are pleased to share the outcomes of our recent admissions consultation, which has led to the approval of our Admissions Policy 2026-2027 by the Dulwich Hamlet Local Governing Body.

Key Amendments:

  • Named Feeder School: Dulwich Village Infants’ Church of England School (DVIS) is now designated as a named feeder school.
  • Alignment with Trust Policy: Admissions criteria now align with other schools in The Charter Schools Educational Trust regarding children of permanent staff members.

During the consultation, three responses raised concerns about naming DVIS as a feeder school. Historically, DVIS has not filled all 45 of its foundation (faith) places, with DHJS admitting pupils based on proximity. However, given the dynamic nature of school admissions, governors will continue to monitor trends to ensure fairness and transparency.

This policy aims to provide DVIS parents with a sense of security regarding their child's educational pathway from Reception to Year 6. Our goal is to offer stability for families and, most importantly, for children.

We appreciate the continued support and collaboration of our community in ensuring an equitable admissions process for all.
