Houses

Opportunities to Lead

Our house system was developed in direct response to children's requests, and encourages vertical relationships to be formed from Year 3 to Year 6

On joining the school, every pupil will be allocated to one of four houses:

House captains maintain the integrity of the House system, promoting the school culture and values in assembly and representing the school in an official capacity.

This may include:

  • Counting and presenting house points
  • Make yourself known on the playground
  • Act as an ambassador for your house
  • Arranging special assemblies for the school.
  • Consulting with local council on local action plans
  • Demonstrating school culture and values in videos, presentations and interviews with external agencies.

"Being a house captain means a lot to me. I help count and present house points, and I try to be someone others recognise and feel comfortable approaching on the playground. I represent my house in school and even outside it—whether that’s helping with assemblies, speaking to the local council about action plans, or showing our school values in videos and presentations. It’s a big responsibility, but I love being able to make a difference."
