Who is the PTA?

Every parent, carer and staff member in Dulwich Hamlet School is automatically a member of the PTA!

There's a board of trustees who oversee the management, and a Committee which includes the Trustees, Class Reps, and anyone who wants to take on a leading role.

What We Do

The PTA has two objectives:

1.       Raise funds for the school

2.       Promote a school community spirit

How We Do It

We organise a range of social and fundraising events throughout the year, these have included:

  • Second-hand uniform sales
  • Cake sales
  • Cultural celebrations
  • Summer and Christmas fairs
  • Halloween fun run
  • Quiz night
  • Family disco

With funds raised, the PTA has paid for:

  • Playground and sports equipment
  • Classroom wish lists and specialist learning material
  • Library resources
  • Improvements to shared spaces
  • Refreshments at events - including drinks and snacks at the Art Evening and ice lollies for the children on Sports Day

It is difficult to overstate the impact, PTA funding has on the smooth running of the school. As budgets tighten and costs increase, we are increasingly reliant on the amazing work of our PTA to maintain our exceptional offer here at Dulwich Hamlet.
