At Dulwich Hamlet, our sport-focused approach develops sport-specific and transferrable skills which children learn to apply to game situations and competition. Through our health related fitness module, children develop a greater understanding of their bodies and the importance of exercise for physical and mental health.
PE is prioritised with a weekly PE afternoon for each year group, rotating through a variety of sports - from football and netball to athletics and gymnastics - taught by experienced coaches. Through our community partnerships, children have the opportunity to cycle at Herne Hill Velodrome, swim at JAGS swimming pool and experience high-quality dance tuition from a specialist dance teacher.
Our PE curriculum, and the extra-curricular fixtures and events we offer, builds confident individuals with a love of sport and movement, who understand their bodies and prioritise their physical and mental health.
