David Agyemang Inspiring the Next Generation of Chess Stars

On Monday, David Agyemang from Dulwich College, came to talk to the children about chess, encouraging children to play more chess, citing the numerous benefits and blasting some stereotypes out of the water. David is passionate about getting children of all backgrounds, particularly those from the Afro-Caribbean community, playing chess. The children were inspired and so in honour of David, we will now allow chess every day in the library should children wish to play at lunchtime. If you have a board at home, help your child by teaching them the rules.
