Year 6 Take to the Stage in ‘We’re All Going on a Summer Holiday!’

Our Year 6 cohort brought the house down this July with their spectacular end-of-year production, “We’re All Going on a Summer Holiday!”, hosted at the prestigious Michael Croft Theatre at Alleyn’s School.

The state-of-the-art stage provided the perfect backdrop for our talented leavers to showcase their acting, singing, and dancing skills after weeks of hard work and rehearsals. Packed with sunshine, humour, brilliant musical numbers and impressive choreography, the show took the audience on an unforgettable journey full of laughter and summer vibes (in appropriately tropical weather).

Having the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre setting was a fantastic experience for the children, who handled the big stage, lighting and sound with utmost confidence and professionalism. From energetic ensemble numbers to standout solo performances, every single Year 6 pupil shone brightly.

A massive thank you to our Ms Thornton-Smith, Mr Gold, Ms Ambrose and the Year 6 team, Sharon Campbell for the fantastic music, our new dance teacher Gina Thompson and all the staff and parents who supported behind the scenes to make this production such a huge success. It was the ultimate celebratory send-off for our Year 6 Hamleteers as they prepare for their next big adventure in secondary school!
