Year 6 Trip to the West End
Year 6 travelled to the West End on Tuesday night to watch Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre. Some had seen it before and others were experiencing their first ever live musical but it was a huge hit regardless. Many of the children knew the songs from their first Young Voices where the Matilda Medley was featured. This West End show, now nearing its 15th year has remained a superbly popular show. It is a children’s show in every sense of the world and it feels like a privilege to watch the storyline, characters and humour captivate a young audience. It speaks to children and it speaks to the child inside us adults. As we weaved our way back through the streets of London, the children sang songs from the show and amused the early evening London public with their joy.
